SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Sept. 10, 2012) – Rural/Metro Corporation, a national provider of private ambulance and fire protection services in 21 states and nearly 700 communities, has launched a first-of-its-kind pilot of national prehospital clinical standards for Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), ST-Elevated Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) and stroke that are aligned with CMS core measures for vascular disease.

Rural/Metro-Central New York Receives Perfect Score on National Accreditation Renewal

SYRACUSE, NY (March 29, 2013) -- Rural/Metro Medical Services is pleased to announce it has achieved a perfect score in the three-year renewal of its accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS). In 1993, Rural/Metro was one of the first ambulance services in the country to achieve accreditation, and has been Central New York’s only CAAS accredited agency since that time.

Knox County Commissioners Vote to Retain Quality EMS Leader

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (December 17, 2012) – Rural/Metro Corporation, a leading national provider of ambulance and private fire protection services, announced today it has been awarded the exclusive, long-term contract to continue providing emergency ambulance services in Knox County, Tennessee. The award followed a unanimous vote today of the Knox County Commission.
